Dublin Airport - Sign of the Times

The centrepiece for a brand new terminal at Dublin Airport, which is designed to mirror the murmuration of starlings, but uses ‘paper airplanes’ instead of birds. A total of 600 individual paper planes were produced to scale from stainless steel, with one side covered in brushed copper effect vinyl. Each piece was suspended from three lengths of nylon wire to create the swarm effect. Signs of the Times built the piece in Northamptonshire and then created a method to ship it safely to Dublin
